Plank with Diagonal Arm Lift


You can sculpt your core without even moving a muscle… well sort of. This exercise uses isometric contractions to engage the core muscles. An isometric movement is a contraction that doesn’t produce movement, confused? Well think of holding a bag of potatoes at eye level, you’re not moving the bag but you’re still working muscles.

Start with your toes and forearms on the ground with your hips raised off the ground. Hold this position so that you create a straight line between your shoulders, hips and ankles. From this static position raise one arm out to the diagonal and hold this till failure. And repeat for the other side.
