Resolution #5 – Take the stairs

il buco nero [stairs in lecce, salento, italy]It’s as simple as walking up stairs to work, but this little act can pay dividends in the long run. As well as burning calories this is a great exercise for your glutes and thighs.
Don’t worry if you find it tiring to walk up the stairs to start as you do it more you will become better at it, and a great thing about walking stairs is you can tell you’re getting better at it when you’re not out of breath at the top of the stairs.
Making your butt look better in jeans is only half the story, if you were to walk three flights of stairs 2 times a day you would burn an extra 20 calories this doesn’t seem like much but doing it 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year would add up 5000 calories well over 1 lb!
