Resolution #13 – Setup rewards for your goals

Greatest Goal IITake the time to setup rewards for yourself when you reach one of your goals. There are two types of rewards, intrinsic and extrinsic. An example of the latter would be when you reach your goal weight you go buy a new dress, or suit. An intrinsic goal is a feeling within like the feeling of reading a good book, or feeling healthier and happier.
This can be a hard concept to wrap your mind around, but think of extrinsic as having something tangible. Extrinsic goal rewards are easier to set but their “happy” effect wears off quicker. An intrinsic reward has more likelihood to motivate you and have less of a drop-off.
So make your reward something that will make you feel good for the long term.
